Think about moshing pre-nup

With new research revealing that 64 per cent of single 18 to 24-year-olds surveyed saying they had trusted friends with whom they would consider buying a house, the National Federation of Property Professionals (NFOPP) has issued a warning about the legal issues surrounding these setups.

Confused.com's report about the rise of the Multiple Occupant Shared Home (Mosh) prompted Mark Hayward, chairman of the NFOPP, to urge those considering investing with their friends to draw up an agreement about what will happen in the event of a change of circumstances.

"It is a bit like going on holiday with good friends; you think they are extremely good friends, but by day three you realise you didn't know them quite as well as you thought you did," he explained.

He also suggested that prospective moshers spend time renting together to ensure that they can "coexist in harmony".

The report also predicted that singleton households will outnumber any other kind in the UK by 2031 to lessen the dent that buying can put into personal finance.
