Confidence in buying property 'to rise despite cautious outlook'

Although there are some signs of the property market making a recovery, an industry expert points out that the outlook remains fragile.

James Wrightson, marketing manager for iammoving.com, states that existing homeowners "will undoubtedly remain wary and those with the most to lose are right to be cautious when looking to move home".

However, he points out that those who are able to take on the risks "should most definitely be pushing a little harder" with regards to advancing up the property ladder over the next few months.

Indeed, Mr Wrightson notes that a recent Savills study indicating a rise in house prices in London should help currently cautious buyers throughout Britain to "slowly gain more confidence".

Such comments follow research by Nationwide revealing property prices in all regions of the country rose during the third quarter of this year.
